Kindergarten Registration is on April 11th. Please remind all of your family, friends and neighbors who have children coming to Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year to come on that date with their child’s immunization record and birth certificate.
NEWS
Our annual Reading Celebration will be held on May 14th. The featured author is Andrew Clements. We will be reading some of his books in our classes to get the students more familiar with his work. If you would like to read some at home with your child as well, that would be great! I’m sure the public library has some of his books. We want every student to attend so please keep reading with your child at home and have hime/her read to you.
If you are interested in requesting a teacher for your child for next year, a form will be on line for you to fill out at the end of this month. Mr. Oldroyd will accept these requests during the first two weeks of April.
We are continuing to work hard at school to learn skills necessary for success in first grade. Thank you again for your diligence at home! Our Kindergarten Assessment and DIBELS testing will begin on April 30 and go through May 11th. If your child will not be here during these dates, please let me know. Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
