THANK YOU for coming to SEP’s! It was wonderful to meet with each of you and discuss your child’s progress! I appreciate your support at home!
NEWS
Our annual Reading Celebration will be held on May 14th. Our featured author is Andrew Clements. We will be reading some of his books in our classes to get the students more familiar with his work. If you would like to read some at home with your child as well, that would be great! I’m sure the public library has some of his books.
If you are interested in requesting a teacher for your child for next year, a form will be on line for you to fill out at the end of this month. Mr. Oldroyd will accept these requests during the first two weeks of April.
Our PTA has recently started a paper-recycling program at South Elementary. There are boxes in each classroom where papers are collected. When there is a significant amount collected, students take the boxes to a larger bin. The whole school is participating and working together to fill the bins to the top.
We are continuing to work hard at school to learn skills necessary for success in first grade. Thank you again for your diligence at home! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
