Literacy Idea

     Visit the library often and have fun with a variety of books for your child.  Choose some they can read by themselves and some that you read to them.  

News

         Remember that on the last day of school, (Wednesday, May 24^th) ALL students, both in the morning and afternoon classes will meet from 8:50-10:30/10:40.  This will allow every student the opportunity to meet his/her first grade teacher.  They will spend 30 minutes in their 1^st grade classroom.  We will dismiss the PM students at 10:30 and the AM students at 10:40.  All PM students need to be picked up in their kindergarten classroom.  The buses will not be running for the PM students.  The AM students (including extended day students) will meet parents and buses as usual upstairs by the front doors.

         Wow, we are winding down to the end of the year so quickly!  Please remember to return all library books, and take home library books. 

         On the last day of school, Wednesday, May 24^th, all students, both in the morning and afternoon classes will meet from 8:50-10:30/10:40.  This allows every student the opportunity to meet his/her first grade teacher!  Students will meet in their 1^st grade classroom for approximately 30 minutes. There will not be Extended Day Kindergarten held on this day.  From past experience, it works much more smoothly if we dismiss the PM students at 10:30 and the AM students at 10:40.  All PM students need to be picked up in their kindergarten classroom. The AM classes will meet parents and buses as usual upstairs.  The buses will not be running for the PM students.  

         Please remember that our End of Year Kindergarten Program will be held on Tuesday, May 16^th at 5:00 PM.  This will be for ALL kindergarten students!  We will combine both AM and PM classes for the program.

         We will meet in the School Library at 4:45 to line up for the program. Please have your kindergartner dressed in Sunday clothes.
