NEWS
Please help us get the word out that Kindergarten Registration for next year will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd from 12:30-3:00 in the gym!  Also, Mr. Oldroyd will be accepting teacher requests for next year the first two weeks of April.  There is an official form to fill out on our school website if you are interested.
Our Spring Field trip to the SUU Farm is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1st.  Please have your child dress according to the weather conditions.  THANKS! We will be leaving shortly after the bell rings and returning back to the school by dismissal time.  Please make sure your child is to school on time.  We do not want to have anyone miss out on this fun opportunity. We will not have Centers that day.

South Elementary is helping with a book drive until April 2nd.  There is a donation box by the front office where you can bring new or gently used books from picture books to teen novels.

Have a wonderful week and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!

NEWS
Thanks for sharing your wonderful children with me!  I enjoy each one of them so much!  Thank you for all you do to help with your child’s education.  I have great parental support and it shows in your child’s progress!

We will continue to work hard to learn important skills that will help each student be better prepared for first grade. Please continue to read to your child and let him/her read to you.

If your child will not be attending South Elementary next year, please let Mrs. Smith, our school secretary, know as soon as possible so we can plan for accurate class lists.

Have a wonderful week and as always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!

THANK YOU for coming to SEP’s!
It was wonderful to meet with each of you and discuss your child’s progress!

NEWS
Time is going so quickly!  It is hard to believe it is already March!  Thank you for letting your child read to you!  Remember the goal for kindergartners is at least 15 minutes a day for 5 days a week for a total of 300 minutes a month.  The PTA will be sponsoring a Reading Celebration later on in the year and we will be getting more information to you soon.  The author that will be spotlighted is Dick King-Smith.

A big THANK-YOU for all of your help and support at home. Together we can accomplish so much more than trying to do it alone!  If your children will not be attending South Elementary next year, please let Mrs. Smith, our school secretary, know as soon as possible so we can plan for accurate class lists.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!
