SEP WEEK SCHEDULE
During SEP Week (March 7-11) , Kindergarten will be held from 8:50-10:35 for the AM classes and 12:45-2:30 for the PM classes even on Early Out Wednesday.
 

FEBRUARY

It was exciting and informative for our classes to learn from our guest speakers from Dr. Albrecht’s Pediatric Dental Office. The students learned a lot about the importance of taking good care of their teeth, mouth and gums.  February is National Dental Awareness Month and as part of this, Dr, Albrecht’s Office is having a contest.  If you are interested in having your child participate, you can log on to: cedarkidsdental@gmail.com for more information.

We have been working hard on recognizing and writing the numerals 21-30 and will begin learning subtraction facts to 5.  We have also learned 30 sight words and will continue to add to our list weekly.  As always we continue to review proper letter formation and sounds of the alphabet.    Please ask your child to predict what a book is about just by looking through the book.  (We call it going on a picture walk in class).  Then after you read the book, ask him/her to recall what actually happened at the beginning, middle and end of the story (retelling in sequence).  This helps with comprehension skills.
