Upcoming
Events
Monday,
Oct. 23—Harvest Holiday (No
school)
Tuesday,
Oct. 31--Please do not have your child wear a costume on that day. We will still have a lot of fun at our party. THANK YOU!
Early Literacy Idea
Help your child listen for
sounds. Read rhymes, poetry, nursery
rhymes, and stories that “play” with language.
SAVE YOUR
BOX TOPS
South
Elementary is collecting box tops! The
first due date is on October 18. Please send your box tops with your child
and have them bring them to our classroom.
THANK YOU!
News
The
students are doing well and it sure is fun to see their growth in every
area! We will continue to segment sounds
and blend them to make words. Each of
the students should be able to write, identify and tell you the sounds for /m/
/t/ /a/ /d/.
Please
ask your child to compare numbers and tell you what “greater than”, “less than”
and “the same number” mean. He/she
should also be able to compare sets by “matching”. We will take the Chapter 2 assessment on Tuesday
and the results will come home towards the end of the week.
Thank you
again for your help and support at home.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am enjoying your children so much!
