Early Literacy Idea
Have your child predict what a
story will be about by looking at the cover and looking at the pages throughout
the book.
Remember our
reading goal is 15 minutes a night/five night a week. Please read to your child and have him/her
read to you! This is so important! Thanks for all you do!
News
Thank you
for your continued support at home! It
is great that the homework and reading books come back consistently. You are wonderful parents and it makes such a
difference in your child’s educational experience. It is exciting to see the
progress your children are making.
We added
the word “up” as one of our sight words this week. The students should also know the sounds for
i, a, o, m, n, t, d, c, g, s, h and understand that we can put those sounds
together to form words.
In math,
we are focusing on the numerals 8 and 9. The students can count and write with
words and numbers. They are also
identifying whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less
than, or equal to the number of objects in another group.
Please
let me know if you have any questions or concerns. THANK YOU!
