Early Literacy Idea

Ask your child to tell you the sound the following “letter teams” make:

sh/ch/th/ng

Have them think of at least two words for each team that have these sounds in them.

Remember our reading goal is 15 minutes a night/five nights a week.  Please read to your child and have him/her read to you!  This is so important!  Thanks for all you do!

News

         All library books are due on Monday, April 30.  The take home leveled library books (books in the bag) are due on Monday, May 7.

         We are excited to present the Kindergarten program to you on Wednesday, May 9^th.  Please mark this day on your calendars.  The students need to be in Sunday dress and meet in the school library at 5:45.  Both AM and PM classes will be performing together.

         Just another head’s up--The last day of school is Wednesday, May 23^rd.  All students will get to meet their first grade teacher for next year on this day.  In order for this to happen, we need all students to attend the morning session of kindergarten including those who normally attend the PM class.  We will meet from 8:50-10:50.  There is no Extended Day Kindergarten on this day.
