Make up
clapping games using rhymes that repeat a specific word family. (Mary Mack, dressed in black,
had silver buttons down her back.
She took her lunch in a paper sack, and saw a bug and gave it a whack.
Remember our
reading goal is 15 minutes a night/five night a week. Please read to your child and have him/her
read to you! This is so important! Thanks for all you do!
News
We have
been working on comprehension skills.
With some prompting and support, the students are able to answer who, what,
where, and when questions. They are also
able to use narrative language to describe characters, settings, things,
events, actions, a scene or facts. They
are also becoming more skilled in their writing.
We are
working with numerals 11-19 to gain foundations for place value in math. Each students should understand that eleven
is ten ones plus 1 one, twelve is ten ones plus 2 ones, etc.
We have
been having fun with science. We have
learned from “Mystery Doug” and have conducted a few of our own science
experiments as well.
Thank you
for your continued support! Enjoy your
week and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
