Early Literacy Idea
Give opportunities for your child
to explore writing by providing a variety of writing materials: pencils, papers, crayons, markers, chalk,
etc.
Remember our
reading goal is 15 minutes a night/five night a week. Please read to your child and have him/her
read to you! This is so important! Thanks for all you do!
News
Hello and
happy December! Your child should be
able to read the following sight words:
me, see, I, can, like, look, here, go, the, run, up, this, is, to,
do. We are reading “big books” together
and it will be exciting to have them reading in their own books from our CKLA
language arts books. Please continue to
have them read to you and you read to them at home. It makes such a difference!
In math
we have been comparing items and understanding terms like same, more, fewer,
greater than, less than and equal to.
The Lost
and Found is accumulating quite a few items.
If your child is missing a coat, jacket, or anything else, please check
the Lost and Found which is located in the small room by the lunchroom. Any items left at the school will be taken to
charity after December 20th.
Please
let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Thanks for everything!
