NEWS
Our practice Lock-Down drill went very well. The students were attentive and followed the
procedures without any problems. The
police department emphasized the importance of every adult in the building
needing to have a name badge on. Thank you to the volunteers who help in our
classroom and for making sure you stop in the office to pick up your name
badge.
Remember we will have our Valentines party on Thursday,
February 14th. The students
can bring Valentines to their classmates Monday-Wednesday of this week. We have 23 students in the AM class and 18
students in the PM class. To avoid
confusion, please do not have your child put individual classmates names on the
Valentines, just have them sign their own name on the back of the Valentine or
on the envelope. It simplifies the “passing out” process so much!
I encourage you to help your child participate in the
“Kite Flight for Reading & Sight” program.
(A light pink calendar was sent home last week with further information—if
you need another one, please let me know).
Our students can earn money for our school depending on how many students
participate. Last year, the students earned $660 just from reading! It is a win-win situation! Prizes and money can be earned and more
importantly, a life-long reading habit is being established!
