Remember
Sue Okroy, Utah State Board of Education specialist in literacy tutoring and
early education will be presenting a literacy training for parents on Monday
September 18th. It will be
held in the gym at 2:30 pm. This will be
an excellent opportunity for parents to receive ideas on how to help your
children at home with reading skills.
We have
been practicing blending syllables to form words in our CKLA program. For example, cup…cake=cupcake; bed…room=bedroom. We will now begin blending sounds to form
words. For example, /o/…/f/=off;
/m/…/ee/=me.
In our Go
Math program the students are understanding more about the relationship between
numbers and quantities. When counting
objects, students are able to pair each object with one and only one number
name.
Thank you
again for your support at home! Enjoy
your week and please contact me with any questions or concerns.
