Literacy Idea

     After you have read a story to your child, have him/her retell it to you with a beginning, middle and end.

News

         The Kite Flight for Reading and Sight will be held at the Middle School from 10:00-3:00  on Saturday, April 29^th.  All students who turn in their completed reading chart will be able to choose a kite, book, or movie pass.  Let’s help South Elementary get a check for the most participants and our Kindergarten classes a pizza party for the most participants.

          Remember our End of Year Kindergarten program will be held on Friday, May 19^th at 10:30 AM. This will be for ALL kindergarten students!  We will combine both morning and afternoon classes!  If your student attends Extended Day Kindergarten, they will not have class in the afternoon on that day.  If your student is in Mrs. Ekker’s PM class, they will come in the morning that day and will not have class in the afternoon.  School begins at 8:50. At the conclusion of the program, parents are welcome to take their students home for the remainder of the day. Please mark this day on your calendars and let grandparents know about it as well.  We will have the students dress in dresses or skirts for the girls and dress pants for the boys.
