Early Literacy Idea
Help your child listen for sounds by
reading together rhymes, poetry,
nursery rhymes, and stories that “play” with language.
Kindergarten is a great place
to be! Your children are doing well and
are making progress in every area of the curriculum. I appreciate your support at home. Thank you for your help with homework and
reading nightly with your child.
I would
love it if you could help reinforce the fact that our names (with one or two
exceptions) start with a capital and all the rest of the letters are
lowercase. Many of them are used to
writing all capitals. This is a hard
habit to break, but with consistency both from home and at school, all of the
students will have it mastered soon.
The
routine and management skills are coming along nicely as well. These darling five and six year olds are settling into school
and they are understanding the importance of not only doing their best but
allowing others to do the same. Please
feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
