We have been reminded that
it is a good idea for parents of young children to discuss the importance of
“Stranger Danger” and have a password that your child knows.
NEWS
Our first week of centers went well! THANK YOU to those parents and grandparents
who are helping! We will only have
centers on Monday of this week and then go back to our regular schedule when we
come back from our Fall Recess/Harvest Holiday on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd.
We have worked hard on the letters A – N and will
continue with O and P for our short week this week. Your child should be able to correctly
identify and write upper and lower case of each of these letters and tell you
the sound each one makes. The sight
words we have learned are: me, see, I,
can, like, look, here, the. We are
learning a lot about numbers and number words and have just about mastered
writing our names the kindergarten way—with a capital at the beginning of our
name and all the rest lower case! The
students are amazing artists and are writing beautiful sentences with a
capital, spaces in between words and ending with a period.
It is a school policy that Halloween costumes are not
worn at school. Have a wonderful
week! Thanks for your support!
