Your child’s promotion card including whose class he/she will be in for 1^st grade, end of year kindergarten assessment, DIBELS scores and reading level scores will come home on Thursday, May 26^th. 

News

      I can’t believe this is the last newsletter of the year!  Thank you so much for a wonderful year and for sharing your children with me.  Again, please remember the following:

·      Our field trip will be during our regular kindergarten time. We will have drinks and a small snack for the students. 

·      On Field Day, we will be outside doing activities for about an hour and a half.

·      On the last day of school, all students, both in the morning and afternoon classes will meet from 8:50-10:40/10:50.  Extended day and PM students need to be picked up in the kindergarten classroom.  The buses will not be running for the PM classes.  The AM students will still have bus services available or if you are picking your child up, please meet us at the front doors upstairs as usual.

      Wow, we are winding down to the end of the year so quickly!  I continue to enjoy each one of your children so much!  Here are just a few reminders:

·      Please return all library books, leveled library books from my classroom and the “book in the bag” books.

·      Our field trip will be during our regular kindergarten time. We will have drinks and a small snack for the students.  

·      On Field Day, we will be outside doing activities for about an hour and a half. Sturdy shoes work the best and don’t forget about sunscreen if needed.

·      On the last day of school, all students, both in the morning and afternoon classes will meet from 8:50-10:40/10:50.  Extended day and PM students need to be picked up in the kindergarten classroom.  The buses will not be running for the PM classes.  The AM students will still have bus services available or if you are picking your child up, please meet us at the front doors upstairs as usual.

THANK YOU FOR SENDING IN BOX TOPS!  KEEP THEM COMING IN!  THE CLASS WITH THE MOST BOX TOPS WILL GET A PIZZA PARTY!  PLUS, THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO EARN MONEY FOR OUR KIDS!!!

      I am enjoying each one of your children so much!  We are going to stay busy until the very last day of school, which is on Friday, May 27^th.  On that day, all students get to meet their first grade teacher.  In order for this to happen, both morning and afternoon classes will meet from 8:50-10:40/10:50.  From past experience, it works much more smoothly if we dismiss the PM class at 10:40 and the AM class at 10:50.  ALL PM STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP IN OUR KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM.  The AM students can go home as usual.  There will be no extended day on this day.  Thank you for changing your schedules accordingly.

         ALL LIBRARY BOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED. I WILL SEND A REMINDER HOME WITH YOUR CHILD IF HE/SHE NEEDS TO RETURN ANY.   The school and classroom take home library books will be collected on May 16^th.  THANK YOU!
