News
Your children are amazing!  It is exciting to see how much they have progressed since the beginning of the year!  Ask them to tell you about the initial consonant digraphs: /sh/ /ch/ /th/ /qu/.  They should be able to tell you both the voiced sound for /th/ (as in the, this than, etc.) and the unvoiced sound for /th/ (as in thick, thumb, Thursday, etc.)
We have been practicing count to 100 by ones and tens. Please have your child do this for you also.  It is coming along pretty well, but some can use a little more practice.
It has been great to have our pen-pal, Annie tell about the four seasons from her home in Washington, DC.  We are learning all about the characteristics for each season, the weather patterns and which months are associated with each season.
Thank you again for sharing your precious children with me!  They are wonderful and I really appreciate your support at home!  It makes such a difference when they know school is a priority to you.

I hope your Spring Break has been fun and relaxing!  For the rest of the month, your kindergartner will continue to learn important skills that will help him/her be better prepared for first grade.  We will be doing lots of math, interactive reading and writing experiences, science and social studies activities. In addition, we will focus on doing our best work and treating others with respect.
Thank you for your support at home.  You truly make a difference in your child’s education!  Please continue to read daily with your child and help with the homework activities.  It is exciting to see each one progressing and realizing they are great students!
